U4EA Technologies Expands Multi-Service Business Gateway Product Line with Fusion 500
Product Adds Interfaces to Legacy PBX Systems for Seamless, Cost-effective Migration to VoIP
INTEROP LAS VEGAS – April 29, 2008 – U4EA Technologies, Inc., a leading provider of integrated access technology for converged communications, today announced it is expanding its Multi-Service Business Gateway (MSBG) product line with the introduction of the Fusion 500. The Fusion 500 is a converged access device that adds interfaces for legacy PBX system connection to VoIP and SIP Trunking services. The Fusion 500 enables enterprises to deploy next generation network services, while preserving existing phone equipment investments.
The Fusion 500, like the rest of the Fusion series, combines the functions of a router, switch, firewall, IDS, session controller, VoIP Gateway, patented QoS (GoS™) and OA&M into one device for the secure, reliable delivery of converged VoIP, data and video services to small & medium-sized businesses and enterprises. The new product offers significant increases in capacity – supporting up to 1000 users and 250 simultaneous calls – and expanded interface options to ease the transition to next generation VoIP services.
"Today’s SMBs and enterprises want to take advantage of VoIP and other unified IP communications solutions without wiping out their previous capital investments," said Jim Greenway, Vice President of Marketing for U4EA. "The Fusion 500 enables businesses to utilize their legacy voice equipment to access cost effective VoIP and unified communications networking services today, while transitioning to full IP communications solutions over time. It is the ideal, integrated gateway for hosted VoIP, legacy and IP-PBX connectivity, with security and data features all optimized through U4EA's patented QoS algorithms."
The Fusion 500 has interfaces to digital and analog PBXs, as well as to analog devices such as fax machines, telephones, and speakerphones. The new PRI/T1/E1 PBX interface and the analog FXS interfaces provide the maximum flexibility for connecting legacy PBXs and other analog telephony devices to the IP network.
U4EA continues to rapidly expand its next generation MSBG product portfolio. The Fusion Series currently consists of four families of products. The Fusion 200, 400 and 500 series are all-in-one integrated IP communications devices which enable secure delivery of mission-critical and time sensitive VoIP and multimedia applications, with cost savings through integrated functionality and superior access bandwidth utilization. The Fusion 1000 Series is a family of signaling gateways that carriers and service providers utilize for addressing their legacy and next generation signaling protocol conversion needs. All Fusion CPE products incorporate U4EA's revolutionary QoS technology, GoS™, which enables SMEs and enterprises to maximize high utilization of network access bandwidth, while guaranteeing quality for critical real-time traffic such as voice or video calls, streaming media, and higher priority data traffic.
