Signaling Gateways for Next Generation Networks
The U4EA Fusion 1000 Series is a family of Signaling Gateways designed to facilitate the support of legacy ISDN and CAS signaling in Next Generation Networks.
Current customers include world class carriers and government departments.
The Fusion 1000 Series is built on industry standard blade server hardware and operating systems and supports a wide range of signaling and transport protocols with full inter-working between them.
The Fusion 1000 Series offers three models:
- An entry level 1U Fusion 1001
- The eight blade Fusion 1008
- The 16 blade Fusion 1016

Signaling Conversion
The Fusion 1000 Series works by terminating all protocol links within the system, passing the calls through a call control engine and then regenerating the protocols on the other side. This allows a very flexible "any to any" configuration rather than restricting the types of protocols that can be converted.
Management and Diagnostics
The Fusion 1000 Series is managed using SNMP. The U4EA Element Manager, OmniVision, provides a graphical user interface for configuring and diagnosing the Fusion 1000 products.
As well as extensive logging and tracing capabilities, the Fusion 1000 Series also features built-in protocol analysis support, allowing real-time protocol traces to be captured remotely and analysed. This is combined with a Windows-based GUI application, OmniTrace, which is used to configure and display the protocol trace outputs.
